A Contribution From Another Real American

After reading Eric’s article on the American flag I asked him if I could write a follow-up. I am very proud to have a true American like Eric as a friend. I think too many people are so concerned with political correctness that they don’t stand up to defend the American flag or what it represents.

A Real American Claims His Flag

I saw a report on the news about a business in Reno, Nevada that was flying the American flag below the Mexican flag. Our Constitution gives specific details about how the American flag should be displayed. Even when people flagrantly disregard and disrespect those rules it goes without comment for fear of being labeled racist. In this particular case, a United States veteran heard about the improper display of HIS flag. He went to the business, cut the American flag down, and claimed it as his own. I felt proud that there are still some True Americans who remember what our flag represents and are willing to stand up for our country.

We Don’t Need A President Who Refuses To Display Our Flag

Then there’s Barak Obama. He has refused to wear an American flag lapel pin. He claims that some of the people wearing the pin are not truly patriotic, so he refuses to wear it because he doesn’t think it represents patriotism. The flag represents the United States of America. After 9/11 everyone wanted to display our flag to show that we, as a country, were truly united regardless of political affiliation, race, gender, or social class. But that was six years ago, and some people don’t feel like we still need to show our unity to the rest of the world. My concern is the possibility of Barak Obama becoming the Presidend of our United States. What would he do if he saw someone flying the American flag who he deemed “unpatriotic”? Would he then refuse to fly our flag at the White House? What about other government establishments? Would he remove the American flag from the uniforms of the men and women who are giving their lives every day to defend the very ideals that our flag represents?

I Love My Country And I Will Fight For Her

I love America. If that offends you, tough. I may not be military, but I will fight to defend the American flag and the American way of life against any enemy, foriegn or domestic. What would you do?

  2. You can live for it, die for it but if you dont buy for or from it you are destroying all it stands for. Every time you buy Chinese products you are supporting communisim so lets all stand up for what we belive in and stop buying foreign made products and stop hiring illegal imigrants.

  3. I totally agree with Scott. Even my 6 and 7 year old kids look at the “made in” information on every item they pick up. We have the resources to be self sufficient, we just need to send the message to all of the greedy corporations who are flooding our markets with the cheapest imported crap they can find.
